Ekusheyer Chokh is a News and Current Affairs (NCA) weekly program of ETV based on investigating reporting. We cover news behind the news. The news which is some times stay behind our eyes. We want to unfold the events those are still not touched.Not only crime news but also any different types of event we cover. Especially corruption news attracts Ekusheyer Chokh team much. We dare to produce any true story against any corrupted person and institution. Different vested quarters sometimes put pressure on us. Even we received life threat and legal notice from the corrupted persons to stop the report. But we did not and will not. Because ETV is not afraid of such kind of pressure. We know our viewers and people are our power. We always honour them. Ekusheyer Chokh is now in 5th year of his journey. Very soon we are touching 200 episodes. In this course of journey Ekusheyer Chokh Received most prestigious TIB award for investigative report against corruption.

We are from Fultala, Khulna. Here we are suffering with an Doctor named Mr. Morshed. He is not qualified at all because each and every year he is killng more than 10 patients. More than 30 patients are being injured by his treatment. He already bought the local Political,Policical,Medai and Medical associational personnel as well. But the normal & local poor peoples are going to him for better serve by him but no one is getting so. Now we people are very much of tired of it. So please help us and help the poor peoples.

Dear All,
I am writing to share an incident of shocking harassment at a prominent part of Dhaka city. An acquaintance of mine (female student of BRAC University) was boldly harassed by the duty polices at Gulshan-Mohakhali bridge check-point today at around 10:00pm when she was returning home after her MBA class from Brac University. As described by her-
She has been taking that route to go to home (by rickshaw) after MBA class for last couple of weeks and the polices started to stop her regularly at the checkpoint for last 3/4 days. Usually they let her go after sometime; but today (30th November, 2011) things crossed the line of decency.
Today duty polices told to get her down from the rickshaw and they moved the rickshaw away. When she asked for the reason, polices replied "Rickshaws are not allowed on this road. So you have to walk." (In reality, the Gulshan-Mohakhali road is open for Rickshaw after 8pm). During the conversation polices focused their torch-light on her torso in an inappropriate manner.
She then attempted to move forward walking. But at 10pm the road was dark and there were very few people. Some young strangers (passing on bicycles) stopped and started to tease and make bad comments. Feeling insecured she came back to the checkpoint and requested the duty polices to let her pass on a rickshaw. Then they suggested her to request their "Sir" regarding this matter. By "Sir" they meant the in-charge of the checkpoint who was sitting inside the police booth (a steel-made room with a door and a window).
Standing from outside the booth when she requested the in-charge to let her get a rickshaw and go, rather then helping her the in-charge invited her to come inside the booth to sit on a chair beside him. That made her very scared and she started to cry. At that time a couple was passing the checkpoint on a rickshaw. She ran to them requesting them to take her with them and they agreed. This made the duty polices furious and they behaved very roughly. They directly threatened her to get ready the face the consequences the next day.
That was the entire story depicted very briefly. Hearing it from her shocked me intensely and made me feel so helpless. Those of us who do not have any reference or link with police/army/political backup/high-channel, what can we do to save ourselves from facing the worst in such situation?
